Some people may not like Lexus' new design language but I like how striking the front end looks. That and the RC-F looks stunning in this blue.

I actually agree with that sentiment. My only complaint is that they're not updating the IS-F along with releasing this new RC-F. It's like Lexus is incapable of having more than one high-performance vehicle on sale at any given time.

I really like the RC-F, but it is just missing a manual transmission. And when there are other cars with a manual, such as the M4 and C7 Corvette, there is no reason to buy the RC-F.

I was under the impression that they were but were were only showing the RC series as a means of building up hype for its release.

Isn't the RCF essentially a IS coupe? Like the 4 series. I'm okay with it.

Ah, but are they? We might be surprised by them with a refreshed LFA which let's be honest, can it get much better? Well they've gone at more sports vehicles now compared to when they created the marvel that the LFA is. I honestly think we might just be up for a good surprise with either the LFA or IS-F. If there's one thing they're good at is riding the wave, and they sure knocked it out of the ball park on the RC-F.

I do like the way the grill looks on the mid-size and smaller cars, but it's a no-go for me on the crossovers and such.

I read somewhere they were discontinuing the IS-F. Unless the article I read meant they were discontinuing the "current gen" of the IS-F. Now I'm not sure.

Didn't they say the next LFA could take another 10-20 years? There was an article on Jalopnik about that not too long ago. Might have been in the Morning Shift, even.

It's the only car to wear predator mouth well. Still, I don't at all like the grill being 80% of the nose, especially the way it is shapped. it will never not feel like they just exacto-knifed a hole in the face of the car. It does work here though, but probably no where else.

Technically, no. Its chassis uses the GS up front, the old (and not discontinued) IS-C in the middle since it was already stiffened due to lack of a solid roof and the current IS chassis outback.
So while it's certainly being marketed as a coupe version of the IS, and the interior reflects that, architecturally, it's a Frankenstein.

That's true. The RX looks strange with that front.

Architecturally or not IMO it seems like the replacement for the ISF.

I think it also looks good on the IS but that's just me. It does look out of place on the LS models though.

But it's a coupe, so regardless it's not really a replacement for the IS-F and that's what bugs me. If they are discontinuing the IS F for the RC F, it seems stupid. They should just update the IS F to the current IS architecture.

That is amazing!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, I was unaware. I haven't ventured to the FP for over 5 months. When they started forcing the adds I took refuge in Oppo. Well perhaps they are doing something with the IS-F for next year, I'd hope.

Damn right!
